Yasuj Cement Company was registered in 1993 as “Kohgiluye Cement Company” under the registration number 95197. In 1996, the company chose a consultant and also type of machinery required and finally bought a production line with nominal capacity of 700 tons clinker per day from China. The pieces of machinery and equipment were imported in 2004, and after installation, the factory came to operation. In a general assembly on 2005/12/19, the name of company changed into “Yasouj Cement Company”. The factory is one of the biggest companies in Kohgiluye va Boyer-Ahmad province and it is located in a 63.5 hectare land at an altitude of 2100 meters above sea level, in km 25 Yasuj-Gachsaran Rd. it is located near to transit roads of south and southwest of country and due to this fact, it enjoys some good benefits for exports.

Yasuj Cement Company has a production line with annual nominal capacity of 210.000 tons. The rich mines of gypsum, limestone and marl provide raw materials for the factory to manufacture all types of cement. Some detailed studies on geochemistry of these mines, indicate the uniformity and good quality and the least harmful elements in their content. Equipment of this factory was made by a Chinese company. Their general features are as following:

A stone crusher: a hammer with a capacity of 150-200 tons per hour.

A raw material grinding mill: a closed circuit 2-chamber bullet type mill with capacity of 55 tons per hour.

Furnace: with pre-heating, calcining and great-type cooling systems with capacity of 700 tons per day.

Cement mill: an open circuit 3-chamber bullet type mill with a total capacity of 50 tons per hour.
